All parents want to know that their children will be cared for while living and studying in a foreign country. Wycombe Guardians has an experienced team that will nurture students in our care to ensure they can focus on their studies and be there for emergencies when required.

The core responsibilities of our educational guardians will include:

• Acting on behalf of parents in situations where they are unable to.

• Looking after a student’s welfare in the UK.

• Providing a host family for students to stay with during half-term and fixed exeat weekends when school is closed.

• Helping students arrange travel both in the UK (taxi, train or bus) and back home (flight bookings and transfers).

• Helping students in emergencies (e.g. illness, lost passport).

• Being available for students anytime, particularly if they are worried about school, friends, their family, or the host family).

 

Our host families are carefully selected and thoroughly inspected. Although they are required to protect, care for and provide meals and lodging, a student’s guardianship in the UK remains with Wycombe Guardians at all times.
